International Airports in Java Island

Visiting Java Island, Indonesia is Simple

Java Island is a wonderful place to visit. It has beautiful panorama, arts, cultures, tradition, friendly local people. So you do not hesitate to visit it. If you live outside Indonesia (international tourists), you can access this place, Java Island, Indonesia which has some international airports. From near to this airport, you can move by riding another public transportation (bus, taxi, or train) to access the interesting places in Java Island. There are Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Banten City, near to Jakarta City), Juanda International Airport (Surabaya City), Adisumarmo International Airport (Surakarta/ Solo City), Adi Sucipto International Airport (Jogjakarta Province), Achmad Yani International Airport (Semarang City), Husein Sastranegara Internasional Airport (Bandung City).

First, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport

There are four lounges (executive and business class) in departure area transit. 
Transportation from and to Airport 
  1. Bus: There are some buses which can take you to bus station and railway station and also another places of Jakarta areas. The average cost you spend is about Rp 20.000,00 until Rp 125. 000,00 . These buses available from 4 am. 
  2. Train: Start from July, 2011, the Indonesia government had asked the Indonesia Train Inc to create train which connect Manggarai Railway Station to this international airport through Tangerang City. 
  3. Taxi: There are many taxis in this International Airport. The most famous taxi here is Blue Bird Taxi. The surcharge of this transportation is about Rp 9.000,00 untill Rp 11.000 (U$ 1). You need to pay attention that there are taxis that operate through bargaining, so you need to make sure that the taxi fare meter is on when you want to ride taxi.

Second, Juanda Internasional Airport

This airport is located in Sedati Sub-district, Sidoarjo Regecy, near to Surabaya City 
Tax of Domestic Passenger Service: Rp. 40.000,00/ passenger (U$ 4) 
Tax of International Passenger Service: Rp. 150.000,00/passenger (U$ 15) 

Transportation from Juanda International Airport
  1. Bus: There are buses which is served by local government which can take passengers to bus stations. 
  2. Taxi: Juanda Taxi decide same standard charge to take up passengers to cities in Surabaya and surround it e.g Malang, Blitar, Tulungagung, and Jember City. The taxi ticket can be got from the exit door of this airport. However, this taxi also take the passengers to the airport.

Third, Adisutjipto International Airport 

Address: Sleman Regency, Jogjakarta City. 
Transportation
  1. Bus: Buses service passengers from this airport. The name of this bus is Damri. The average cost of this bus is between Rp. 35.0000, 00 until Rp. 55.000,00 (U$3.5 - U$5.5) 
  2. Trans Jogjakarta Bus: Through this bus, you can surround the Jogjakarta cities cheaply. You only spend about Rp 3.500,00 (U$ 1/4) wherever you go. This transportation is special presented by Local Transportation Institution of Jogjakarta Government. 
  3. Rental car: In my opinion, if you have much money, rental car is a must option. You can choose car what you like. It is like driving your own car. 
  4. Train: There is a railway station, which is called as Maguwo Railway Station. It connects with this airport. Through this railway station, you can go to Surakarta/Solo City by Madiun Jaya Express or Sriwedari train. You just spend Rp.20.000,00 (U$ 2) to ride these trains. These trains belong to commuter transportation ridden by Jogjakarta and Solo people. The duration of travelling from Jogjakarta to Solo City is only about 1 hour. You will be happy to feel the sensation of those cities. They have plenty history, culture, and souvenir.

Fourth, Adisumarmo International Airport 

It is located in Ngemplak Sub-district, Boyolali Regency. It is 14 kilometer from Surakarta (Solo) City. This airport service international and domestic flying. The international service only take passengers from Solo City to Singapore and Jeddah, Arab Saudi. 
Transportation: 
  1. Batik Trans Solo: It was legalized  by the local government to take the passengers from Adisumarmo airport to Solo City. You need spend money about Rp. 3.500,00 (U$1/4). 
  2. Car Rental: You can easily find the car rental around this airport but you have to spend more money.
